Our tips for taking care of your armpits and controlling odor

1- Use a suitable deodorant

It's your best odor-busting solution. A formulation that respects the epidermis ensures long-term protection and care without risk to your health.

-> Our Indispensable Môme Care deodorant contains Teflose®, an innovative ingredient that deodorizes while respecting the balance of your skin microbiome.

2- Eliminate hair

Be aware that hair and sweat promote the development of bacteria responsible for bad odors. Shaving or epilating hair under the armpits is therefore quite effective.

-> If you choose to shave, do not forget to clean the blade after each use and to change the blade regularly because it is a breeding ground for bacteria and a dull blade can injure you, causing a skin reaction such as production of melanin, a protein naturally synthesized by the body and responsible for pigmentation. Result: darker areas appear.

3- Prevent

You sweat little at night, and applying a gentle deodorant to clean armpits before bed allows it to slowly infuse into the skin while you sleep. When you wake up, soft and fresh armpits.

-> If you are transitioning from an aluminum-based antiperspirant to a natural deodorant, this may speed up the transition period.

4- Dress

Natural fibers such as linen, cotton, silk or wool let the skin breathe. This is a way to limit perspiration.

-> Wear a thin cotton t-shirt under synthetic fabrics if you can't resist that little dress or that polyester polo shirt.

5- Eating

What we ingest is partly eliminated by perspiration. Our diet produces our body odors in three ways: 1) The bacteria we harbor metabolize food and produce malodorous odors. 2) Food raises our body temperature and makes us sweat. 3) Finally, some particularly odorous foods produce smelly sweat.

Avoid spices, alcohol, garlic, caffeine, asparagus, red meat and cold meats (animal proteins).

-> The perspiration of vegetarians is often less smelly.
